Autavia 1163 GMT
Soon after the launch of the Autavia 1163 in 1969 Heuer followed up with another useful tool watch, the Autavia 1163 GMT. The automatic Calibre 11 movement was modified with a 24 hour GMT module. This was later upgraded to a dedicated GMT movement, the Calibre 14. Early examples have the 1 to 24 rotating bezel and brushed steel hands with red insert. These soon changed to the even number only bezel and red hour and minute hands. All Autavia 1163 GMT have fluted pushers with a recess cut into the top side of the case and crown at the "9" position which is always signed. The lug width is 20mm.
