Autavia 110603

The Autavia 113603 really is the last Heuer branded Autavia and was produced around 1985, the time the company changed hands and became Tag Heuer. Three different PVD finishes were used (black, pewter and olive green) as well a gold plated reference and all came with the optional matching coated jubilee bracelet. The PVD coating, although used since the later part of the 1970's was still not a perfect finish and they did not wear very well. Consequently, many examples seen today show signs of fading and chipping. Nevertheless a mint example is a beautiful site and suits this tool watch perfectly. The back case was engraved with the Heuer logo and features the reference number. The signed crown and fluted pushers were also PVD coated.
