Omega De Ville 146.017
The Omega reference 146.017 from around 1970 is in my opinion the most interesting watch to carry the De Ville name. It has a 35mm diameter case housing Omega’s manual wind 930 calibre with chronograph and date functions. The position of the date window and the way it is cut into the running seconds register is the intriguing bit. The reference in steel came with a white or metallic blue dial. This example is the blue version however over time the metallic blue finish has disappeared and what is left is a unique, even metallic copper like finish with all the white print and the raised Omega symbol fully intact. It is paintless and it’s a wonder. It comes on the original Omega 1069 bracelet with 524 end links.
